A wedding is being prepared for this bride… and we are the bride.

I have learned in my own life to not let the misrepresentation of christianity affect my walk with Jesus. I see people in this world seeking the spiritual so much right now, and that’s what they should be doing- because it’s in our dna. Like the mother and father’s dna will always be in their childs, we are children of the spirit, the great I am, and he is embedded in us. And we are seeking God in spirit because he lives in us, yet our relationship with him can often become one sided. Christianity, to the worlds view, has become enclosed in a box of religion… when in reality it’s the most spiritually freeing relationship with the living God you can have. The God of love- true, pure, untainted love. The love the world is seeking to fill the void in our hearts. The place only he can fill.

Even fairy tales hold such prophetic wisdom, in the fact that true loves kiss can break any curse, and awaken the sleeping bride. And that’s what our distraction has lead us to be… a sleeping bride. Sleeping to the love that is being sung over us. Sleeping to the love we are to recieve as living water to the garden of our souls. Sleeping to the light we are meant to shine in the world. Light of true love.

We are designed to live from the Spirit; from the Kingdom of Heaven(spiritual) on Earth. But God is one of patience, grace, and love, and he is no going to leave us because we stop talking to him, or hearing the song he is continually singing over us. He is just waiting for the chance to kiss our sleeping lips, and bring us back to life once more.

So I speak (or write) to you today- Awaken. Your wedding day is approaching, and it’s time to get ready.

From the song of songs… ‘Arise my beloved, and come away with me’ Not just to church, or to read your Bible, but to the secret place of your heart where he dwells. And if you follow the call, the knocking upon the door of your heart, you will find it’s not him asking to come in, but inviting you deeper within yourself, to the place where he dwells as one with you in spirit… the place we find our union with Him. The Bridal Chamber.

This painting does not come with a poem like most of my artwork, but a verse. And the verse for this artwork is Song of Songs 2:13:

”Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of flowers whispers, ‘There is change in the air.’. Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place, for now is the time to arise and come away with me.’’
